Frequently Asked Questions - Trainboard

Trainboard works consistently on all of our testing devices, and on Apple's testing devices (otherwise they wouldn't approve the app for the store!). I have thousands of sessions listed on Flurry, so it appears that Trainboard is working for most people.

Trainboard uses a local database and does some intense operations to look up trains. That's why it takes a few seconds to load.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to try if Trainboard isn't loading for you:

1) Try rebooting your phone: hold down the power button and slide the slider that appears to power it off. Wait a few seconds, and hold down the button to start up the phone again.

2) Try reinstalling the app. Touch the icon and hold until the icon shakes. Click the little X. Then go to buy it again in the store (you won't be charged twice).

As accurate as Google Transit. Trainboard ships with the latest GTFS data published by SEPTA.

SEPTA typically operates major holidays (such Christmas day) on a Sunday schedule. These changes do appear in Trainboard, as they appear in the GTFS trains.

Sometimes SEPTA runs special trains that are not in the GTFS data, such as late night trains on New Year's Eve. These trains do not appear in Trainboard.

Someone else has made a SEPTA regional rail app, see: http://www.androidpit.com/en/android/market/apps/app/com.chapslife.septa...

There are no plans to include this.
